Torrents slow down towards end of dld

Post by kel101 »

So for the last few weeks any torrent I download, the speed will slow down to around 1kb/s when it gets close to finishing and I have no idea why. I have the latest nightly version, and it doesnt matter where the torrents are from i still get the problem. Any ideas?

The links above are not helpful. Thank you x190 but i think this is not a configuration issue. Rather i think people are curious about the mechanics of torrent clients and how they complete a download.

My experience is that a popular torrent will download in few minutes, but the last .5% may take an equal amount of time. My interpretation would be that the pieces served by faster peers come in quickly but the pieces coming from a few slow peers are the last to finish. And that contrary to expectations, a piece does not come from more than one peer.

Is this correct?
