Hello, this is purely an aesthetic issue. I'm running v2.82 on OSX Mountain Lion.
Recently I changed the icon for Transmission to a black and white one that goes better with the rest of my desktop and other custom icons. The custom icon shows up properly at first (in the dock and in the cmd+tab), but when I run transmission, the icon reverts back to the default. When I close the program, it changes back to the custom icon that I have it set as in the get info menu for the Transmission app.
Not sure if anyone else has ever encountered this, but it would be nice to be able to use a custom icon.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Trouble With Custom Icon
Re: Trouble With Custom Icon
I changed it by dragging the .icns file over the old icon on the app info menu you posted a screenshot of. And in the app info it shows up as changed. And when I close the program it assumes the new icon in the dock. But when I run Transmission, it spontaneously changes back to the default icon, but only while the program is running.

This works great.x190 wrote:Right (control) Click on Transmission.app. and select 'Show Package Contents', then go to Contents->Resources and replace Transmission.icns with your new version of the same name and format.
