Freezing when adding selection of torrents to group

OS X 10.9.2
Transmission 2.82

I'm experiencing some freezing when trying to add a selection of torrents to a group. Not sure if I'm trying too many (a couple hundred torrents) but this didn't used to be a problem. I select them, right click, add to a group, and it freezes. I left it for a couple minutes but no luck, had to force quit. Dragging to a group does the same thing.

Downgraded to 2.42 and the same amount of torrents (even a selection of over 2000) adds to the group instantly.
