some facts
- running macos 13.1 on a mac mini m1
- same behavior in transmission 4.0.3 and 4.0.6
- strangely, these are all sourced from the same tracker
- same behavior if they are deleted with or without data
- their associated data is correctly deleted
- when they reappear, they are set to the default download location, not their original data location
- with transmission closed, i have deleted the .resume and .torrent files
- with transmission closed, i have removed the torrent from transfers.plist
- these are all older, but not too old — post 4.x i think, say early 2023 at the oldest
- can’t find references to the torrent hash anywhere else on disk, just the usuals in ~/Library/Application Support/Transmission
- watch folder is disabled and where it was previously enabled, the folder is empty
- no errors or warnings reported in logs
