I really like the advanced progress bar that is included in Transmission, it is a good way to display a lot of information in a very compact space. However, the colors that are currently being used, the light blue and light green are too similiar. It is difficult to quickly tell which areas are blue and which are green.
As this is mostly a cosmetic issue, it should be a relatively quick change. Unfortunately, I have very little experience with web design/color arrange ment, so I cannot offer any good ideas on what they should be changed to.
Thanks for reading.

Color coding
Hello,
I use transmission on mac os X and like it alot.
I would like to know the meaning of each color (red, blue, green) on the progression bar. do you know it?
Thanks for reading.

As said in the Transmission help:
What do the colors mean in the advanced progress bar/pieces box?
Blue: we have this piece
Gray/White: no connected peers have this piece
Green: connected peers have this piece (the darker the green, the more there are)
The fine, dark blue line on top of the bar shows the global progression, while the green line following it shows how much of the remaining download is actually available.

Perhaps mine's broken then, my advanced bar remains completely static while seeding, only the basic bar displays the ratio with a darker green fill.jah wrote:seeding ratio is already indicated via the dark green bar filling it up.
So I tend to download using advanced then switch to basic to see how the seeding is progressing.

GAH colors to bright!!
Yes, the colors need to have a value difference, not just a hue difference. at the size they are at, the 'advanced view' is pointless, because it takes far too much work to track down the blue bar on top of the same-ish blue fragments in contrast to the green fragments.
that said, the appearance of the bar while seeding in regular view is fantastic.
very well thought out. Using the same logic, it would be great to simply use a darker shade of blue to show missing file fragments. the advanced view does not need to have an overall progress bar sliver on top.
