Connection Dropping when using Transmission

I have been using Transmission for a while and have previously had great results.... Recently (perhaps with the latest update?), my Internet connection has been dropping out after Transmission has been running for a while. This seems to only happen when I'm plugged in through my router (Netgear Rangemax), not when plugged directly into the modem.

In an effort to trouble shoot, I switched my computer from dynamic to a static ip and changed the way Transmission connects from the Automatic port mapping feature to a dedicated port forward through my router. These changes don't seem to have made a difference in the dropouts.

Any ideas?
