Recently set up a spare PC running FreeNAS + Transmission for the purpose of downloading torrents etc. My ISP allows for unlimited data off peak between the hours of 2am - 8am. I've managed to configure Tranmission to only download between these hours using the scheduler but during peak it continues to search for peers and seeds using nearly 20mb per hour which soon adds up over the entire month. Any ideas how I can stop Tranmission for searching for peers and seeds on peak?
