Transmission 2.13 (11501). Eight torrents are listed in my window, all to be seeded. Many of them are rarely wanted so I might need to seed for weeks or months before I get any takers. So I want to resume them all and let them just run. The problem is this:
If 7 of the torrents are seeding and one is paused, no problem.
But if I try to resume the 8th torrent, it says: "Waiting to seed." If I pause one of the others, the 8th now seeds.
So there seems to be a built-in secret limit of 7 torrents seeding. This is quite apart from how many peers there are; at the moment there are none, but that has no effect on the situation.
My prefs show a cap of 20 max connections and 10 for new transfers, but this magic 7 never appears. Where's it coming from, and can I lift it? Thx -
[Solved] Number of torrents seeding capped at 7?
Re: Number of torrents seeding capped at 7?
This is the queue in action. There is no default limit of 7, you must have changed it yourself. I'm not in front of the OSX version, but I think it's under Transfers > Management in the Preferences. If you'd like to skip this limit of 7, you can right click the torrent and select "Resume Selected Right Away".

Rolcol, very helpful on both counts (both the source of the 7 and how to circumvent it on a single occasion). Thx!
