Torrents not starting

Hello

Im using transmission daemon 2.13 on Debian 6.

My problem is that new torrents, added manually or via watchdir wont start immediately but will take, often quite a long, time to start.
The torrent connects to tracker, grabs some seeds but the actual data transfer starts after couple of minutes to couple of hours.
Once Ive seen about 10 torrents queued up, all with 'downloading' status and all with 0.0% data transfered (dunno how long they were sitting there). After manual stop-start they started moving.

Any ideas? :>

Its a bug, and its been on versions 2.13 and up to 2.20.

Seems to be biting a lot of people.

There are several, https://trac.transmissionbt.com/ticket/3931 doesn't have as much noise as the others.

Thanks for the reply and link rb07. I think the problem that I'm having is actually discussed here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11249

I require encryption on all my connections and after the update to 2.20 all activity stopped. I reverted back to 2.13 and libevent 1.4 until a fix is pushed.

Yes, I just changed to 2.21 and that problem is gone.

Confirmed that 2.21 seems to have fixed the problem.
