Error ticker idea

As you can see from the error I received at the bottom of the last torrent I had, a Tracker returned error", I was forced to expand the window horizontally to see the entire message and was in danger or reaching my limit. I feel that this would have been displayed as a ticker scrolling across the bottom. Motion always catches a the eye, especially in the tranquil conditions of the OS X UI.

In the case that this discrepancy is noticed half way through the error it would be an idea to have the error reset back to the beginning on mouseover of the area. I find, as UI designer, users typically use their mouse to focus on the area their eye is concentrating on and so this would make sense.
