New Transmission Doesn't See My Seeds

Post by redstarr »

I have moved to a newer operating system (Leopard) from an old (Tiger). Migration worked fine but I needed to install a new (v2.22) Transmission and it doesn't see any of the files I was seeding prior to this. I've got over 900 files sitting on a drive where they always have been but I have no idea how to point Transmission to them. Can you please help?

I am sorry if I was not clear enough. Downloaded torrents from many months were in my seeding list in Transmission. Since I moved to an updated system, it necessitated a new version of Transmission and these many files I had downloaded and was now seeding did not appear in the Transmission window. The only files now listed as being seeded are those I downloaded today.

I would like to reengage these many torrents back into my Transmission window. I did indeed find the .torrents in the library folder on my old system and dragged those to the new library folder about an hour ago. The application does not recognize them after I quit and then restarted Transmission, as I hoped it might.

I don't know how to reseed these. I am not wishing to upload them myself, I just wish to make the files available to those who might find the various torrents and try to get them. If you would, I could use a step-by-step here on what to do to get the .torrents back into the Transmission window.
