I don't understand the question. Quit quits the app, since there is already a copy opened.

That's really stupid. If you accidentally run another instance of Transmission the only option is to quit the previous instance? Just put a cancel button. It takes 5 seconds.

The only option is to quit the new one you're trying to launch. The previous instance still runs - you just can't open a new one until that one's quit.

I'll change the button from "Quit" to "OK", to avoid the ambiguous meaning of "Quit". This is one of the few instances where "OK" is less confusing than a more specific word.

The current nightly displays OK for me. Are you sure the app you're opening second has the updated code?

I'm not sure what any of that means. Have a Transmission app open, try to open the one with the change, the error should display. None of that has anything to do with opening torrents, and I have no idea which copy of the app is being opened when you download torrents.
