upnp discover failed errno 101

hello,

i am posting because transmission reports that the upnp igd is ko, even though it is working for other services (e.g. skype). i am using transmission 2.42 (13013) on mac os 10.6.8. firewall is off and upnp igd is on. log seems to show unkown error while looking for igd.

this leads to most trackers refusing connections though dht continues to work. any and all help appreciated !

manual port forwarding seems to work. but why this error with upnp discovery ?

Something very funny happened to several users of a port I made: the web port was forwarded automatically with uPnP, but the download port wasn't... Maybe a bug in the code?

this is also the error i receive. other applications (skype, limewire) can auto forward ports properly, but transmission cannot. this is with a mikrotik router. it worked at one point, i'm not sure what changed, either mikrotik version or transmission version i guess.
