My TM 2.50 (13228) on Ubuntu has troubles accessing the correct directories.
I have made 2 directories on my 2nd datahd. One for the temporary files and one for the complete torrents. This stashdrive is called "Toshdata".
This drive is not mounted at startup, I have to do that manually and do so before I start Transmission.
Transmission somehow sometimes (not always) ignores the settings and creates a new directory called "Toshdata_" and puts it in the media folder on the 1st harddrive (which is an ssd and quite small) resulting in out of space errors. Sometimes with new torrents there is even a new directory "Toshdata__".
It is possible to move the torrents to the 2nd hd but it is not possible to continue them.
Mounting troubles
Re: Mounting troubles
That is good, but what about shutdown? Since this is an occasional problem for you, I suspect in some cases you may be un-mounting the drive while Transmission is not yet fully stopped, forcing it to create the new directory.reynhart wrote:This drive is not mounted at startup, I have to do that manually and do so before I start Transmission.
Re: Mounting troubles
I never unmount it.
I have tried to automount it at startup, and I think I finally succeeded in this. It is an NTFS drive and in the settings I also discovered it was mounted default readonly. So this might very well be the cause.

Re: Mounting troubles
yep, that certainly sounds like it would be a problem.reynhart wrote:I also discovered it was mounted default readonly. So this might very well be the cause.
Re: Mounting troubles
Just can't figure out how Tm was able to write to it most of the time....
Re: Mounting troubles
That was it, the drive was mounted readonly.
