2.80 Cannot connect to any trackers
2.80 Cannot connect to any trackers
Since I updated to 2.80, downloading has screeched to a halt. Port is open and nothing else has changed, but now I can't connect to any trackers.
Re: 2.80 Cannot connect to any trackers

My apologies, post has been edited.
I found that enabling DHT helped.
Re: 2.80 Cannot connect to any trackers
Ok, I got 2.80 working by following the instructions in the link provided by x190.
- Deleted Transmission files in ~/Library/Preferences/
- Trashed the app
- Reinstalled
I also checked the box "Randomize port on launch." I had unchecked it temporarily since I have an old Time Capsule (1st generation) and had to downgrade to an older version of Airport Utility. That downgrade had seemed to disable automatic port forwarding, but apparently it still works.

Re: 2.80 Cannot connect to any trackers
Hi, folks!
I had the same problem with 2.80.
After many manipulations with program preferences I found the root of it.
After deleting .plist file, the app worked fine till I change port to # manual forwarded on my router. Trackers stopped updating after app relaunch.
The reason I have previously set manual port forwarding on my router was Transmission app didn't want to make it itself. Now it makes it well, and, I doubt, conflicts with manually forwarded port #. May be it can't correctly close it by quit.
Anyway, I turned off manual port forwarding, and now haven't any problems with trackers updating.
Have a nice day,
