CLI without using the daemon

Post by kcshuffle »

I'm new to using Transmission CLI after being a long time GUI user so be merciful.

I've looked into trying to figure out how to add and download and torrent file in the CLI manually without using the daemon but I've been unsuccessful in finding any guides on how to do this. The majority of guides tend to be daemon specific.

Using 'transmission-cli' I see '-w' sets the download directory but I do not see a command to add the actual torrent file?

Can someone point me in the right direct on how to do this? :?:

use transmission-remote?
Thanks, I didn't see this. Looks like -n is to add a new torrent.

Also, on the GUI Transmission there is an option to deleted the downloaded torrent files etc., is there such an option on CLI? I didn't see the command listed on there, or do you just delete the folder/file manually?
