Hi,
According to https://trac.transmissionbt.com/ticket/2338, uTP is supported by Transmission. However, it does not seem to work to me. I am using Transmission 2.84, and I have tried both in OpenWRT and my Windows machine.
On OpenWRT router, I have enabled uTP, and opened the port on my router to allow incoming connections, but Transmission still reports that the port is closed, and is unable to receive incoming connections.
On my Windows machine, Transmission is able to open port on my router using uTP protocol, and still reports that the port is closed.
Actually, I am also wondering when using uTP for peer communication, does the peer port still matters?
uTP does not seem to work
Re: uTP does not seem to work
I see similar behavior. Over time, the port just seems to close itself, but only when uTP is disabled. I have to keep uTP enabled to keep the port open via UPNP.
