I have two questions for you guys:
1. Is it possible to keep your torrents downloading while the computer is sleeping? Whenever it sleeps, they pause.
2. Is it possible to get one torrent in the process of downloading from one computer to the other while keeping the progress of the download?
Thanks
Two questions, need help!
Re: Two questions, need help!
1. No, your Mac can not do anything while it is asleep, so Transmission can't either.
2. Yes, you should be able to. You have to copy the torrent data to the other computer and place it at your download location, and open the torrent on the other machine. Transmission should verify the data that is already there, and continue to download the rest. If you need a copy of the original torrent you can find it in '~/Library/Application Support/Transmission/Torrents'.

about option one, I heard a time ago that apple is trying to find a way to let your computer continue to download when it is asleep or even shut down

You did mean Apple, right? One wouldn't say "Fusion is trying to find a way to sell cars" but rather "Ford is trying to find a way to sell cars".I heard a time ago that mac is trying to find
You can just set your display to sleep leaving the drives spinning and the computer running. I know it uses electricity but it's worth $200 a year (or whatever) to me. Depending on what computer you are running it might not use that much.

I don't know why they are telling you you can't leave your cpu running overnight it makes no sense..
First, you would have to tell us what message it gives you when you look at your computer in the morning.
That would help.
