Not getting peers/seeds. Wheres the error msg?

Post by worldspawn »

Hello. I'm running transmission deamon on freenas. Some of my torrents are for a private tracker, for some reason those torrents don't seem to connecting up to the tracker (they have various, tedius rules)... but i'm not sure. Are trackers responses displayed anywhere in the webgui?? I've looked around the "inspector" but can't see any information about the tracker status.

After a bit of learning I've found that tranmission is reporting "No Response(0)" from almost all my torrents. Strangely two torrents appear to work but 200 or so others arn't. I'm running 1.60.

Tracker has seen -1 clients complete this torrent

Help!

No Response (0) is the text shown if transmission doesn't get a response from the tracker.

Is it all on same tracker? is so do they have a limit on how many times you can connect to tracker with in a given time period?
that could explain why some but not all work. I would guess you will have to talk to the people running this tracker to get closer to what the problem might be.

I narrowed the problem down not to transmission but my freenas setup. I hadn't configured the DNS server to use so (presumably) transmission wasn't able to resolve any of the tracker urls... except for those 2 weird torrents. Thanks.
