Transmission Checks Existing Data Every Time...

Post by Wilabob »

My problem is that sometimes when I take out my external hard drive and put it back in, transmission checks existing data. Most of my torrents are over 1GB so this takes forever. Is there any way to make transmission stop doing this? Any help would be great,

Thanks

I just downloaded a nightly build and I will see if it works.

I tried that and still not working, I even paused the downloads without taking out my external hard drive and when I resume it still checks existing data!

There's also ~/Library/Preferences/org.m0k.transmission.plist

My computer doesn't have any of those files. I don't even have the transmission folder in application support and preferences.

That's weird. How is it that you installed Transmission and how are you running it?

This is because all the files mentioned are kept by the system to keep track things related to the application (preferences, downloads, etc).

I used the dmg and dragged transmission to my applications folder. I run it from there..
