green and dark green bar?
green and dark green bar?
After downloading when your progress bar turns green. What is the darker green versus the lighter green portions of the bar mean?
Re: green and dark green bar?
Darker green means amount seeded, lighter green portion means amount needed to reach the seeding ratio that is specified in Transmission > Preferences > Transfers > Management, where it says Automatic: Stop seeding at ratio.
If you change the amount that is there you will see that the lighter green bar will either go up or down (depending how you changed it).

Re: green and dark green bar?
I thought I got it. Not sure now on 2nd thought. I completed a DL yestereday and yet I still have about 20% left until the bar is all dark green to complete my ratio of 2.00 (is that a good setting?).
Once the ratio is reached the bar goes gray and says Seeding Complete. Does this mean I've "fulfilled" an implied obligation of sorts? Meaning... in a perfect world, everyone that DL'd would leave their computer running and that file seeding until the ratio was reached?

Re: green and dark green bar?
in the perfect world everyone would seed it to a ratio 1.00 since no-one would seed less then there is no need to seed more then it. but since there are people who don't seed at all 2.00 is nice (everthing above 1.00 is nice, the higher the better)
Re: green and dark green bar?
Does seeding more than 1.00 slow my dlnd speed? And once I've completed the seeding, can I delete the item from my list entirely?
Re: green and dark green bar?
No, it doesn't slow your connection (as long as your seeding is capped). Yes, you can delete it from the list once you are done seeding.shmerls wrote:Does seeding more than 1.00 slow my dlnd speed? And once I've completed the seeding, can I delete the item from my list entirely?
