I AM NOT A TECHIE GUY. I AM A 62 YEAR OLD GUY who can't open his port. I have been using Transmission for 3 years without a problem. Yesterday I updated to 1.82 and port will not reopen. I have gone back to 1.81 and port is still closed.
Pertinent Info:
Mac Version 10.6.2
Router: Linksys WRT610N- everything else works fine.
Checked out all settings on router, even went to Port Fowarding.com and downloaded their handy-dandy PF Config program- a waste of $30.00 US. Nothing is wrong. Talked to Apple, all machine settings are correct.
I am not a techie, so if you reply please do not reply in techspeak- English is hard enough for me!
One of my peer to peer sharing sights also is telling me that my port is closed- will throw me out in a couple of days, if i can't clear problem. Don't know what to do. Feel like I am in a roundabout without an off ramp.
Thanks in advance folks. Please help!!!!!
