[CLOSED DUPLICATE] mac gets frozen

Hey.

I use Mac OS X 10.5.8 and have been using Transmission for a while.
About 2 weeks ago I got the newest software update and ever since my Mac gets frozen every time I use Transmission- nothing works and I have to shot my Mac down using the off bottom.
Has anyone experienced this as well???
