donelson: Bandwidth limiting is done by settings in Transmission prefs->Bandwidth. Test your available speed via speedtest.net first and then set your speeds at 60 -80% of tested. Be careful with units (KB/s is not the same as kbs).

What happens when you disable µTP in Preferences->Network? Try getting a reading from Activity Monitor as well. Also, I would suggest limiting global connections to 100.

Upload limits set to 30KB/sec, not obeyed by App
Upload limits have been set to 30KB/sec, but are not being obeyed by App.
Both regular upload bandwidth and "speed limit" are set to 30KBps, but I see via Menu Meters that Transmission is uploading at 80-100KBps, making my system lag horribly.
Help!
