0.92 beta (Dec 30, 2008)

I'm really liking the new filters by tracker, however, the columns for the timestamps when the torrent was added and completed are now gone.
I GOTTA have that!

There were no such columns earlier...

Oops. I was confusing it with this other similar app: http://forum.transmissionbt.com/viewtop ... f=1&t=6611

Download .zip archive with Linux binary, extract it, set executable permission for transgui binary and run it. That's all.

thank you. i have downloaded, extracted, copied the transgui file to my NAS, set the permission to executable, with "chmod +x transgui", then tried to execute it with "./ transgui" but i have received a "/ffp/bin/sh: ./: Permission denied" error message.

What is wrong???

Anf the other question:

If i manage to install it on what address can i reach the gui?

Thank you.

any chance a "torrent added" or "torrent completed" column could be added to the display?
I'm not a fan of .net either and I'd rather use your program, but I need to be able to tell when a torrent finished as an indicator that it's completed but I haven't deal with the files yet.
Maybe it's not needed, though... is there already a secondary date sort in the program as is?

Wrong answer! Your Linux binary runs only on Intel x86 or AMD processors, Sickboi is talking about an arm-based system (or is it mips-based?, non-x86/amd64 compatible anyway), and headless to top it off, no Window manager so your program will definitely not work.

I think the main problem is you are calling this "Transmission Remote GUI", what is remote about it? Your program is actually a local client which comes in three builds: one runs in MS Windows, the second ... you get the idea.

that's right.

Its headless and arm based. mainly its a NAS drive with telnet access and some kind of linux op. system. The word "remote" have told me that it runs on the "server" (transmission) side and it's web based gui. Now that I understand that it can be installed on my "client" side (on linux win desktop pc) I have tried it and its really awesome comparing to clutch.

Thank you all for the helping hand and jusid thank you for great work!

I dont know if its the right place and i do not know if transmission knows it at all but a "label possibility" would be great to organize the torrents with user defined labels. (someting like the label solution in utorrent)

It won't run on the DNS-323, but it may work if all you want is to have access to your server from a supported platform (supported by this client).

If you read the whole thread, this is a client that communicates with transmission-daemon using the same method (and port) used by transmission-remote and the Web client (long time ago known as Clutch). It doesn't substitute anything, transmission is installed as always and the Web client is there chugging along, this new client is just a local application you would run instead of opening the browser and using the Web client.

Thank you, meanwhile I edited my last post after realizing the things you have just wrote. Anyway, thank you for the info.

The GUI looks preety. Have a question about number of peers. From Cluth, one of my torrent shows it is downloading for 13 of 25 peers. At the remote GUI, it shows 15/623(617). What is 623 and 617 mean?
Thanks.

I guess it's the value of the peersKnown field defined in http://trac.transmissionbt.com/browser/ ... smission.h. The comment says:
Number of peers that the tracker says this torrent has
vs.
Number of peers that we're connected to
for peersConnected.

Hi, jusid! I'd like to use your program (web UI is so weak and ugly), but, unfortunately, there's no binaries for Linux on PowerPC (and I'm running YellowDog linux on Playstation3, which is basically a PowerPC). I wanted to rebuild it myself, but it seems that I must use Lazarus IDE, and there's no Lazarus under PowerPC :-(. So, can I rebuild it without Lazarus (I've already downloaded FreePascal for PPC). Thank you!
