Re: Transmission slows down everything on network

reducing "global maximum connections" to 50 peers seems to help a lot for me. I'll have to test it on different routers during a longer time to be sure, but for now, after 2 days running, the local network is still up.

The problem is that reducing the global maximum of peers may also reduce my ...

Re: Transmission slows down everything on network

Same here. Caping at 50% of the upload speed, and after a while, the router become completely unresponsive. Quitting Transmission or restarting the router solves temporarily the problem.

I observed this with an 11g airport extreme, 2 router from AVM (3170 and 7113) and 3 different ISP. After a ...

Re: Transmission disturbing airtunes streaming

I'm testing it, but it doesn't seem to help. Since these interruptions are really irregular, I have to test it for a long period of time. For now, all I can say is that it does also happen with DHT deactivated, but it seems to be less often. What's for sure is that everytime the sound is interrupted ...

Transmission disturbing airtunes streaming

It may very well be my router which is too weak for 2 airport express upstreams and bittorrent, but I just wanted to ask if somebody here has the same problem.

I'm uploading at 250kBps (bytes here, not bit), but the sound on the speakers connected to the airport express sometimes stops, then starts ...

Re: Questions about priority

Thanks for your help. I tried and it does make a difference. So I suppose there is 9 levels of priority in Transmission: 3 torrent priorities x 3 file priorities.

Re: Questions about priority

Thanks for the answer!

So I got another question: let suppose and set the priority of one whole torrent higher. Does it make any difference if I set the priority of one of the files of this particular torrent higher?

Questions about priority

When I set all files of torrent A to "low priority", all files of torrent B to "normal priority" and all files from torrent C to "high priority", will it gives higher priority to C or not?

To make it short, I'd like to know if these priority settings are only valid within one torrent or if they are ...

last seeder warning

Nobody thinks this is a fantastic and awesome idea? =P

ok, that would only be really usefull it it was implemented in all major torrent clients. But why not start here?

Just a little mark next to torrents where at least some parts of the torrent are not seeded by anybody else, and maybe a warning ...

[feature suggestion] last seeder warning

Hello,

I think it would be a nice idea to have a small marker telling if you are the last seeder online for at least some part of a file. Maybe a warning message when removing the torrent transfer from Transmission too.

This would maybe help some torrents to last longer...
