Re: Queuing problem

1) you have to stop transmission, then edit settings.json, and then start it again or the changes won't persist. from your post you did changes while it was running and did a re-start, which doesn't work.

2) queuing in Linux is only supported for Transmission versions 2.40 or greater.

Re: Add torrent by hash

you can already do that if you add the torrents with the web-interface, but you need TR v2.32 or greater.

Re: how to test torrent done script?

Interesting I can run my script if I type Code: Select all sh scriptname but if I just type scriptname, without the sh, it does not run. Why is that? I did the chmod +x. you have to use a leading ./ if the script is in the current directory, such as: ./scriptname IT says it calls the script. that's...

yep, that certainly sounds like it would be a problem.

Re: Restarting an incomplete download from a magnet link

Am I doing something wrong, or is this just the way it is? If this is, in fact, the way it is, as an alternative is there any way to "generate" a .torrent file from the metadata that is downloaded from a magnet link? That way, I can go back to manually re-starting the torrent the way I did before? ...

i just checked again and the ticket is still open (Status - New Bug), though it looks rather dormant.

Re: Script issue

The only thing I can think of is that there may be a bug in 2.03-2 (?) or I'm using the wrong kind of script or there's just something wrong with my syntax. It may just come down to me having to wait until I get enough understanding to fix it. (A directed study though..) as mentioned in my previous...

Re: how to test torrent done script?

I don't think you got my OP. I need a way to test the script independently of transmission. Otherwise, I have to wait for a torrent to finish to see if the script works. That can become painful for complicated scripts. well you can always try manually running the script from the terminal, but the p...

Re: Selecting separate files suddenly disabled

Magnet links initially do not contain the torrent file structure, so it is impossible to do selective downloads on the onset. You have to wait till the meta-data is acquired, which can take from a few to several minutes. After that, you can select/de-select files same as always.

Re: Mounting troubles

This drive is not mounted at startup, I have to do that manually and do so before I start Transmission. That is good, but what about shutdown? Since this is an occasional problem for you, I suspect in some cases you may be un-mounting the drive while Transmission is not yet fully stopped, forcing i...

the only way i can find anything is hit the Browse All Files link, and work through the folders.

Re: Transmission GUI for Windows (exe)?

The big green button on the link I gave you is to download the latest version. there is some confusion on your site as that Green Button just downloads "README-2.50 beta.txt" i think most first-time users want this link, which has a Transmission-Qt-2.50-Setup.exe http://sourceforge.net/projects/trq...
